Using the good weather forecast for last weekend I decided to visit Höllentalklamm (Bavaria/Germany). Starting in Grainau I followed at the beginnig a good path up to Höllentaleingangshütte at 1045 m (about an hour).
About 20 min later I was at the beginning of the Klamm, that is blocked by an iron gate, so you have to pay a fee to use the path through the Klamm (about 2 €). The path through Höllentalklamm is an artificial path of 1 km length.
It took me about an hour time to go through, because the main reason for me to be there was to make some fotographs. Despite the good warm weather my fingers were frozen at the end of the Klamm.
Another 20 min later I reached Höllentalangerhütte for a second breakfast, two “Latte Macchiato” and “Kaiserschmarrn”.
Backwards I used the “Stangensteig” instead of going through the Klamm again. A small but good secured path leads within 2.5 hours to the valley again.
The Klamm itself was visited by lots of people later that morning. So it is a good choice to start early, to take at least some pics undisturbed.
